Assam FM ("we", "us", "our") operates the Assam FM mobile application (the "App") and the website https://assamfm.com (the "Website"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Account Information
When you sign in using Google Sign-In, we collect:
- Your name and email address (from your Google account)
- Your profile photo URL
- A unique Google account identifier
Usage Data
We automatically collect:
- Listening history and progress (which chapters you've listened to and your playback position)
- App interactions (likes, bookmarks, follows, comments)
- Device information (device model, OS version, app version)
- IP address (for view counting and fraud prevention)
Purchase Information
If you make in-app purchases, we record transaction details (purchase amount, chapter/album purchased). Payment processing is handled entirely by Google Play — we do not collect or store your payment card details.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and improve the App's features (playback, recommendations, continue listening)
- To manage your account and purchase history
- To send push notifications about new content from authors you follow
- To calculate and distribute author earnings based on content views
- To prevent fraud and abuse (cooldown checks, duplicate view prevention)
- To display personalized content recommendations
3. Advertising
We use Google AdMob to display ads in the App, including banner ads, interstitial ads, rewarded video ads, and app open ads. Google AdMob may collect and use data as described in Google's Privacy Policy. This may include your device's advertising ID, IP address, and usage data to serve personalized or non-personalized ads.
4. Firebase Services
We use Google Firebase for:
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) — to send push notifications
- Firebase Authentication — to manage Google Sign-In

5. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on secure servers. We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and JWT-based authentication tokens. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:
- Google — through AdMob (advertising) and Firebase (notifications, auth)
- Content Authors — aggregated view/listen statistics for their content (no personal identifying information)
- Legal Requirements — if required by law or to protect our rights
7. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your account data through the App's profile section

- Opt out of personalized ads through your device's ad settings
- Disable push notifications through your device settings
9. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days. Aggregated, anonymized data may be retained for analytics purposes.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes through the App or Website. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
